What We Believe!

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.
We believe that there is only One God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.
We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in the present world.

My Mission is to Empower Your Life
In 1982, Miracle Church of God in Christ was founded by Pastor Caleph and Lady Minnie Swindell in Long Beach, California with a membership of ten parishioners. Pastor Swindell built the ministry and served until he retired in 1994.
Passing on the torch to fellow colleagues in ministry, Pastor Pryce and Lady Agnes Brooks served Miracle COGIC for the next fifteen years. During their administration, they had a thriving Youth Ministry and Sunshine Band. Yearly, they would conduct Harvest Fests for the community to come and enjoy.
Under Pastor Brooks’ leadership, Miracle COGIC joined Southern California Evangelistic Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the leadership of its founding prelate Bishop Floyd J. Goodman.
In 2010, Pastor Lafayette Jones was appointed as Pastor. He and Lady Shelli Jones served the congregation and community faithfully until he transitioned in 2023. He continued to build upon the foundation that was laid, removing not the old landmark. Miracle COGIC is known for feeding the community with their Food Bank. Monthly, those who needed food could come and receive. The women’s department, music ministry, Mother’s Board, led by Mother Richie and our Young People Willing Workers (Y.P.W.W.) were auxiliaries that continued to grow and flourish.
In 2023, the Lord saw fit to send Miracle COGIC, an anointed Servant-Leader, Pastor Aljenon Cooper.
